C.W.S. Craft Cocktails And Kitchen Will Bring Speciality Drinks, Beer Garden, Coffee Bar And More To Lake Worth This March

We’ve found you a new morning coffee spot. And new outdoor hangout. Plus a new late-night cocktail haunt (you know, for good measure).

In fact, it’s all the same place.

C.W.S. Craft Cocktails and Kitchen, opening in Lake Worth, will offer all of these environments and more when it arrives next month. Owners are aiming for a mid-to-late March debut.

The craft cocktail bar and restaurant concept comes to Palm Beach County from 3-J Hospitality, which owns music venue Revolution Live, outdoor party spot America’s Backyard, and speakeasy-style drinking den Bar Stache—all in Fort Lauderdale.

C.W.S. stands for Charles William Stache, the fictional proprietor behind the venue, who the real owners also like to say opened their 1920s drinking den of the same surname.

3-J decided to head to Lake Worth for its next venture because the city looks to be South Florida’s next developing market, co-owner and managing partner Jeff John said.

“We believe in what the city of Lake Worth was founded on—art—and want to integrate food and beverage to elevate the Lake Worth lifestyle and enhance the food and beverage industry in Palm Beach,” he said.

C.W.S. will initially offer dinner service and Sunday brunch, while daily breakfast and lunch hours are in the works for later. Nonetheless, the location will open at 7 a.m. every morning so guests can enjoy a Panther Coffee bar serving up light pastries.

“We’ve taken the day-parts and organically transitioned them to incorporate coffee, cocktails and a scratch kitchen, adding to the art culture of the city,” John said.

The indoor bar will emphasize varieties of bourbon, whiskey and rye. Beverage Director Bill Binder III plans to introduce signature drinks—such as the Lucerne Swizzle with rum, brandy and mint leaves—alongside several Bar Stache classics.

The kitchen will be helmed by executive chef Joshua Hedquist, who has worked with renowned chefs including Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Todd English. Hedquist will offer a selection of bold, sophisticated foods that still feel and taste approachable.

Inside, guests can enjoy shareable plates in a speakeasy setting, with prices averaging $25 per person. Outdoors on the patio, Bavarian pretzels and sausages, cured meat and cheese boards, burgers and more will be served in a classic beer garden.

Expect a tented bar with 28 craft beers, Oktoberfest-style picnic tables, a gaming area with a ping pong setup and mini putting green, and large TV sets.

“The beer garden will definitely be the spot to meet up with your friends or make new ones,” co-owner Brian Freed said in a press release. “C.W.S. will feel sophisticated without being stuffy; it’ll be about cool and casual.”

C.W.S. will also offer an intimate 10-person Chef’s Table within a private, fenced-in garden. The venue can host private functions—such as corporate parties, product launches and birthdays—and will also be used for guided chef’s tastings, cocktail clinics and other special events put on by the restaurant.
